The Town of Kendall is located on the south shore of Lake
Ontario, eastern Orleans County, in New York State.

The Town of Kendall is protected by two agencies, The
Kendall Fire Department and The Kendall Fire District. The
Fire District is funded solely by the tax payers residing in
the Kendall Fire District. The District owns the apparatus
and the equipment on them and is responsible for their
maintenance. The Department is funded by fund raisers
such as our annual Carnival and turkey party as well as
donations from the public. The Department owns and
operates the volunteer Ambulance. They also own the fire
hall and the 26 acres that our hall sits on. The department
is also responsible for providing the  staffing of  the
District's apparatus for fire calls

The Kendall Fire Department is staffed solely by volunteers
from our community. We operate out of one station and
provide fire protection for approximately 30 sq. miles and
ambulance service for approximately 35 sq. miles. The
District and Department maintains 2 pumper tankers, 1
tanker, 1 heavy rescue, and 1 type III ambulance. There is
no charge for our ambulance service, we do, however,
accept any donation that our patients feel comfortable with.

Annually, we respond, on average, to 85 Fire calls and 185
EMS calls. We provide automatic mutual aid to four
surrounding departments and  Ambulance service to our
own district and one neighboring department.
