House Fire 740 Monroe/Orleans County Line Rd. 2/20/2009

On Friday, February 20th around 12 noon Kendall was dispatched automatically with Morton for the
possible house fire, neighbor reporting heavy smoke coming from the structure. Upon Kendall 34
and Kendall 52's arrival there was a two and a half story wood framed single family dwelling that
was fully invovled with all but the front of the structure venting. Kendall 34 set up for fire attack
with a dump tank from Kendall 52 being used for water supply. Hamlin's 243 also set up for fire
attack utilizing the same sourse. The hydrant in front of Morton's hall was tapped to fill tankers and
Brockport later took up tanker filling at that site. In addition to Kendall, tankers were called from
Hamlin, Hulberton, Carlton, Walker, Kendall 33 and Morton's 216. Brockport also responded with a
ladder to the scene as well as Holley's 65 for a fast team and a pumper(Holley 31) to stand by at
Morton's hall along with a pumper from Hilton. Morton 215 responded to the scene for equipment
as well as Hamlin's 248 for man power and equipment. Monroe ambulance and Kendall ambulance
stood by at the scene. The house was a total loss and the Town of Kendall's drott was called in to
aid in overhaul. The cause of the fire is under investigation. No one was home at the time of the
fire and there were no injuries reported.
