| Structure Fire 1827 Kendall Rd 07/03/08 Kendall responded to the report of a stucture fire at 1827 Kendall Rd. Kendall 4 was first on scene reporting heavy smoke showing from a two story wood framed vacant house. Upon entry fire was found on the first floor diningroom wall and had extended to the second floor and attic. Fire crews from Kendall, Holley, and Morton put the fire under control in about an hour. Extensive overhaul continued for a couple more hours. Hamlin supplied a FAST Team, Carlton was placed in our hall for standby and FHM and Monroe ALS were called in for standby EMS and rehab. 1 firefighter was transported to Lakeside Hospital by Kendall 60 for a muscle strain in his neck and shoulder and later released.A second firefighter was later seen at Lakeside for a mild hernia. Orleans County investigators were called in and found the cause of the fire to be electrical in the dining room wall. |
