Barn Fire 803 Monroe/Orleans County line Rd Morton Fire Dist.

Shortly before midnight Kendall was auto dispatched with Morton for a tanker and
rescue/pumper to the scene of a working barn fire at 803 County Line Rd approximately
1/2 mile north of Kenmor Rd. Upon arrival 2C21 declared a working fire. Morton 215 set up
in front of the residence an initiated an exterior attack. Kendall 52 set up its dump tank in
front of 215 to supply a water source. Morton 218 was next in and supplied lighting for the
scene and Kendall 34 and Hamlin 243 supplied manpower and hand tools. Kendall 33 was
called to establish a fill site using the hydrant in front of the Morton fire hall to fill tankers.
Tankers from Morton , Hamlin, and Kendall were used. Monroe ambulance was on scene
for a stand by ambulance and Holley was on scene as a FAST Team. Walker was placed in
Mortons hall as a fill in company. Hamlin fire police were called in to controll traffic. The
fire was quickly extinguished and investigated by both Monroe and Orleans County. The
cause of the fire is under investigation but is thought to be electrical at this time. Several
small livestock were lost in the fire. No firefighter injuries were reported. All units cleared
the scene slightly before 2:00 am.
